Don’t forget that additional training is also necessary if your employees only operate a rental forklift or rental platform temporarily! The basic idea of the access platform industry was to make working at height safer in order to reduce the number of fatal accidents. Nowadays, there are various legal regulations that specify exactly what training is required for what type of equipment. As an employer, you are obligated to train your employees to the required extent and to instruct them annually or renew the driving assignments. Without these “driver’s licenses” you are fully liable for accidents to yourself and your personnel and no insurance company will pay out benefits. In the meantime, many customers, e.g. large automotive plants, stipulate that they may only use machines on their company premises/plants with trained personnel in order to be able to guarantee maximum safety and prevent accidents.
Most often, the duration of training is one day. In the case of extensive complete training, e.g. for telescopic loaders, it can also take 3-5 days, depending on previous knowledge, until the necessary knowledge can be imparted. Remember that telescopic handlers are true all-rounders, i.e. they are a forklift, construction machine, crane and aerial work platform all in one. For very large groups we can provide in-house training on request, although it is more advantageous to use our modern and extensive fleet of vehicles on site. The training courses in the field of working platforms, forklifts, telescopic loaders & cranes are completed with a theoretical and practical examination. Afterwards, your employees will receive the corresponding training documents, certificates and operator’s licenses.
