Hire Niftylift Aerial Work Platforms – Maximum Reach at Minimum Weight

Niftylift has specialised in one characteristic that makes the decisive difference on urban construction sites, in parks and in sensitive indoor areas: minimum dead weight combined with maximum working height. Where other aerial work platforms damage the ground, block clearance widths or turn transport into a problem, Niftylift delivers a technically well-conceived answer. Luibl provides this specialist equipment for hire – UVV-inspected, with personal instruction and deliverable throughout Europe.

Why Niftylift? The Experts in Lightweight Construction and Hybrid Technology

Niftylift consistently develops aerial work platforms according to the principle: as light as possible, as capable as necessary. The result is machines that fulfil three advantages simultaneously that are often in conflict with other manufacturers:

Low ground loading: Niftylift models are among the lightest in their working-height class. For surfaces with limited load-bearing capacity – paving slabs, lawns, older hall floor structures – this is not a comfort feature but a technical prerequisite for use at all.

Compact transport dimensions: Trailer-mounted platforms of the Nifty series fit on a standard trailer and are transported with driving licence category BE. Self-propelled models of the Height Rider series are designed for urban construction sites with narrow access routes and limited parking areas – transport widths under 1.20 m are standard on several models.

Green Machine / Bi-Energy drive: Niftylift hybrid models combine diesel and electric drive in one system (Bi-Energy). The electric motor takes over operation in enclosed spaces, at trade fairs and in emission-sensitive environments – without conversion effort, without a separate charger for every situation. The diesel engine provides the range for outdoor use. One machine, two environments.

Niftylift Trailer-Mounted Platforms – Flexibility on the Towbar

Trailer-mounted platforms of the Nifty series are the most economical solution for projects where mobility and easy transportability count. No low-loader required, no special transport – a car with a towbar and a category BE driving licence is sufficient.

Nifty 120T

  • Working height: 12 m
  • Lateral outreach: up to 6.5 m
  • Dead weight: approx. 1,250 kg
  • Drive: electric (mains-independent via on-board battery)
  • Application scenario: façade work on residential buildings, lighting installation in car parks, cleaning work on glass façades. The low weight permits use on paving slabs without spreader plates.

Nifty 170T

  • Working height: 17 m
  • Lateral outreach: up to 8.7 m
  • Dead weight: approx. 2,100 kg
  • Drive: diesel or Bi-Energy
  • Application scenario: For tree-care work in a city park with sensitive lawn ground, the Nifty 170T was used because its low dead weight and wide-spreading outriggers prevented ground damage to the root system and lawn – where a heavy articulated telescopic platform would have refused the job.

Both models are equipped with a telescopic upper arm that enables lateral outreach without repositioning the machine. The articulated telescopic boom bridges obstacles such as hedges, barriers and fences without repositioning the machine.

Self-Propelled Articulated Telescopic Boom Lifts (Height Rider Series)

The Height Rider series is Niftylift's answer to urban construction sites and indoor installation: self-propelled, narrow, quiet and with full IPAF classification for professional use.

HR 12 (Height Rider 12)

  • Working height: 12 m
  • Transport width: 0.99 m
  • Dead weight: approx. 1,950 kg
  • Drive: electric
  • Application scenario: Sprinkler system installation in a logistics centre with cramped aisle systems. The transport width under 1 m allows entry without dismantling racking sections.

HR 17 (Height Rider 17)

  • Working height: 17 m
  • Transport width: 1.19 m
  • Dead weight: approx. 2,750 kg
  • Drive: Bi-Energy (diesel + electric)
  • Application scenario: Hall roof inspection and ventilation installation alternating between outdoors and indoors. The Bi-Energy drive switches between diesel (approach to the hall) and electric (indoor operation) without conversion.

HR 21 (Height Rider 21)

  • Working height: 21 m
  • Lateral outreach: up to 12 m
  • Drive: Bi-Energy
  • Application scenario: Façade work on commercial buildings with urban access restrictions. The combination of 21 m working height and under 1.5 m transport width makes the machine usable on narrow inner-city construction sites where standard machines cannot reach.

All Height Rider models carry the IPAF classification 3b (self-propelled articulated telescopic boom lift) – a prerequisite for professional use in accordance with DGUV Regulation 68.

Can I Collect a Niftylift Trailer-Mounted Platform Myself?

Yes. Niftylift trailer-mounted platforms can also be collected in person where logistics permit. Requirements:

  • Category BE driving licence for trailers up to 3,500 kg permissible gross weight – sufficient for the Nifty 120T and 170T

  • Towing vehicle with sufficient towing capacity: at least the model's dead-weight figure as the permissible towing load in the vehicle registration document

  • Approved towbar and functioning trailer lighting: mandatory for road operation

  • Instruction: at every handover – including self-collection – Luibl carries out a documented operating instruction

For delivery with Luibl's own low-loader: Europe-wide delivery via more than 200 locations, short-notice appointments available.

What Is the SioS System from Niftylift?

SioS stands for Sustained Involuntary Operation Prevention System – an active safety system against unintended sustained actuation of the control elements.

The problem without SioS: In the basket, an operator can unintentionally press the control lever through being trapped, fainting or loss of balance – the machine continues to move uncontrollably. SioS detects sustained actuation without active confirmation from the operator and stops the movement automatically.

Practical relevance:

  • Tree-care work with restricted freedom of movement in the basket

  • Work in hall areas with a risk of falling due to obstacles

  • Single-person operation without a banksman at ground level

SioS is fitted as standard in all current Niftylift Height Rider models in the Luibl hire fleet. It does not replace IPAF training but actively reduces the risk in unforeseen situations.

Areas of Application: Where Niftylift Platforms Play to Their Strengths

Inner-city construction sites: Narrow access routes, paving slabs with limited load-bearing capacity, night work with noise restrictions. Electric drive and low ground loading meet all three requirements simultaneously.

Horticulture and tree care: Lawn ground, uneven surfaces, root zones. The low dead weight of the Nifty series prevents soil compaction and ground damage – the decisive advantage over heavy diesel articulated platforms.

Facility management and maintenance: Sprinklers, ventilation, lighting in production halls and logistics centres. Narrow transport width, electric operation, non-marking tyres – all prerequisites for indoor use without additional effort.

Event technology and exhibition construction: Exhibition halls with floor-loading limits, short set-up times, no exhaust emissions in enclosed spaces. Niftylift models meet the hall regulations of large exhibition companies without special permission.

Façade work: Trailer-mounted platforms of the 120T/170T class achieve lateral outreaches with the telescopic upper arm that are unusual for this equipment class. One set-up point, several working areas – reduced manoeuvring effort on cramped plots.
