Rent Telescopic Boom Lifts: Maximum Reach for Your Project
At Luibl Rental & Sales, you can rent telescopic boom lifts with working heights up to 57 meters and lateral reach up to 28 meters.
Rent Telescopic Boom Lifts: Maximum Reach for Your Project
Telescopic boom lifts enable fast, linear work at height — no swiveling, no compromises on lateral outreach. Luibl Rental & Sales maintains a modern rental fleet of telescopic and articulated telescopic boom lifts with working heights up to 57 m, delivered across Europe by our own low-loader fleet.
Why Rent a Telescopic Boom Lift? Benefits & Applications
Telescopic boom lifts excel wherever fast vertical movement, long horizontal outreach and stability are required.
Typical applications:
-
Facade work & glass cleaning on high-rise buildings
-
Assembly of steel structures and roof constructions
-
Maintenance in power generation plants and power stations
-
Maintenance work on bridges and infrastructure
-
Outdoor assembly work on industrial and commercial sites
Case in point: An articulated telescopic boom lift was used for facade cleaning on a fully glazed office building at a height of 40 m. Precise, independent control of the telescopic arm and the articulating joint made it possible to reach individual glass panels directly without repositioning the machine — a clear time advantage over other platform types.
Linearity as a core advantage: Telescopic boom lifts travel at full height without any twisting of the structure, significantly increasing efficiency across long facade sections.
Diesel or Electric: The Right Telescopic Boom Lift for Every Application
Diesel Telescopic Boom Lifts — For Rough Terrain and Large Construction Sites
Diesel models are designed for outdoor use on unpaved ground. Key features:
-
All-wheel drive with differential lock for mud, gravel and sites with soft ground
-
Oscillating axle: actively compensates for uneven terrain and keeps the platform level — critical on sites without a flat surface
-
High gradeability: off-road models handle inclines of up to 45%
-
Ground bearing pressure matters: on soft ground, surface pressure is decisive; diesel models with wider tires and optional anti-slip options have the edge here
Electric Telescopic Boom Lifts — For Warehouses, Industry and Sensitive Environments
Electric models are designed for indoor use and emission-sensitive areas:
-
Non-marking tires protect warehouse floors and coatings
-
Zero emissions — compliant with strict air quality requirements (pharmaceutical industry, food processing)
-
Low noise for operation during ongoing production
-
More compact design for tight warehouse doors and clearance heights
Key Technical Facts: What to Check Before You Rent
Before choosing a machine, clarify the following parameters:
Working height vs. platform height
The platform height is approximately 2 m below the stated working height. What matters for machine selection is the technician's actual standing height — not the manufacturer's figure on the data sheet.
Lateral outreach
Indicates how far the machine can work horizontally beyond an obstacle. Decisive for parapets, roof overhangs, or structures that cannot be driven under.
Basket load / load capacity
Platform load capacities range from 200 to 450 kg depending on the model. Tools, materials and all occupants in the basket must be calculated together.
Load moment limiter
An electronic safety system that automatically prevents overload and unstable outreach positions. Legally required and active as standard on all Luibl rental equipment.
Ground bearing pressure
Indicates the pressure load per square centimeter on the ground. For underground parking ceilings, industrial floors and compaction-sensitive surfaces, coordinate in advance with a structural engineer.
Note on leveling: Modern telescopic boom lifts allow automatic platform leveling up to a defined ground incline angle. Values outside this tolerance require leveling pads or an alternative machine.
What Does It Cost to Rent a Telescopic Boom Lift?
There is no flat rental rate — pricing depends on several factors:
Price-relevant parameters:
-
Machine type & working height: Small telescopic boom lifts up to 20 m are priced well below 40 m+ machines
-
Rental duration: Weekly and monthly rentals offer significant savings over daily rates; long-term rentals often already include the accident-prevention regulations (UVV) inspection and maintenance
-
Transport distance: Delivery by our own low-loader is calculated based on distance and effort
-
Special equipment: Specific tires (coarse-tread tires, hard-floor tires), basket size or additional equipment can affect the price
Recommendation: Request project quotes for multiple machines — for large construction sites, Luibl puts together combined rental packages with a single point of contact.
What License Do You Need to Operate a Telescopic Boom Lift?
In Germany and Austria, no separate driving license is required to operate aerial work platforms. However, clear qualification requirements apply:
DGUV Rule 100-500 (Operation of Aerial Work Platforms) requires documented operator training. The employer is responsible for the qualification of their employees.
IPAF training (International Powered Access Federation) is the recognized industry standard for operator qualification — particularly for international projects and large enterprises.
Luibl offers training for all machine types — ideal for renters working with telescopic boom lifts of this class for the first time or wanting to certify their team.
