Rent telehandlers in Dachau: 63 models from 4.30 to 38.90 m
Rent telehandlers for Dachau from Luibl Rental, choosing from 63 models: 19 fixed machines up to 18.80 m, 36 rotating telehandlers with up to 38.90 m lift height and 27.00 m reach, 7 heavy-duty machines from 7,200 kg lifting capacity and the Manitou MT 625e electric telehandler. In Dachau the job a telehandler has to do changes with the construction phase: in shell construction on the soft ground of the Dachauer Moos, operating weight is what matters; on the roofs and facades of the old town, it is reach; and in the fit-out of halls, it is the drive. The best approach is therefore to choose the right machine for each construction phase rather than once for the entire site. We deliver all machines from our Passau location.
Rent telehandlers in Dachau: four construction phases, four machine types
The table matches each construction phase with the machine type most often needed on construction sites in Dachau. All values are taken from the data sheets of our rental fleet.
| Construction phase | Typical task in Dachau | Machine type | Values in the rental fleet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Foundations and shell construction | Pallets, formwork and reinforcement on building plots in the Dachauer Moos | Fixed telehandlers | 19 models, 4.30–18.80 m, 1,250–5,500 kg |
| Roof and facade | Lifting material over projecting structures and narrow lanes in the old town | Rotating telehandlers | 36 models, 15.42–38.90 m, 4,000–8,000 kg |
| Fit-out and halls | Material handling in halls and underground car parks with no exhaust emissions on site | Electric telehandlers | Manitou MT 625e, 5.85 m, 2,500 kg |
| Assembly of heavy components | Steel girders, precast concrete elements and machinery in commercial areas | Heavy-duty telehandlers | 7 models, 9.40–11.92 m, from 7,200 kg |
You will find our entire rental fleet under Rent telehandlers. If the task changes during the construction period, it is usually worth renting a suitable machine for each phase instead of oversizing a single machine for all phases.
Shell construction in the Dachauer Moos: choose your telehandler by operating weight and ground conditions
In shell construction, a fixed telehandler moves pallets of bricks, formwork elements and reinforcement cages from the storage area up to the upper floors. South-east of Dachau's old town, however, lies the Dachauer Moos, a fen with a high groundwater level. The ground there often bears less than a compacted gravel or crushed-stone base, and the access routes soften after rain.
Check operating weight before lift height
The fixed telehandlers in our rental fleet differ significantly in their own weight. Along with the load and lift height, please therefore also tell us the condition of the site road. On freshly filled or waterlogged ground, a lighter machine with a slightly lower lift height is often the better choice, because it puts less strain on access routes and edge areas.
Prepare access routes and outrigger areas
For repeated trips between the storage area and the building, the telehandler needs a site road with sufficient load-bearing capacity. Where the machine is stabilised on outriggers, load distribution plates spread the support forces over a larger area. Whether the ground can absorb these forces is clarified in advance by the site management, for example on the basis of the geotechnical report.
Roofs and facades in the old town: rent a rotating telehandler instead of a mobile crane
Dachau's old town sits on a ridge above the Amper river, around Dachau Palace and the parish church of St. Jakob. Narrow lanes, slopes and projecting structures often leave no room to set up directly next to the building. A rotating telehandler slews its superstructure and lifts material onto several roof areas from a single position.
Reach of up to 27.00 m over projecting structures
The largest machine in our rental fleet, the Magni RTH 6.39SH, reaches 38.90 m lift height and 27.00 m reach with a lifting capacity of 6,000 kg. The machine's load chart shows which load is permitted at which outreach. With a load hook or rope winch, a rotating telehandler takes over many lifts for which a mobile crane would otherwise be ordered.
Clarify dimensions and permits in advance
The Magni RTH 6.39SH measures 8.60 × 2.54 × 3.12 m and weighs 24,000 kg. For narrow access routes we therefore check a smaller rotating model from 15.42 m lift height. Anyone setting up the telehandler on public ground needs a special use permit from the City of Dachau. For listed buildings, the client additionally coordinates the work with the heritage conservation authority.
Fit-out and halls: electric telehandler for Dachau with no exhaust emissions on site
During fit-out, the telehandler often works in halls, underground car parks or buildings that are already in use. For this, the Manitou MT 625e with electric drive is available: 5.85 m lift height, 3.40 m reach and 2,500 kg lifting capacity. It produces no exhaust emissions on site and operates quietly.
1.81 m width for gates and passages
At 3.83 × 1.81 × 1.92 m and 4,800 kg own weight, the MT 625e fits through many hall gates and underground car park entrances. Measure the narrowest point along the route and tell us the clearance height and the permissible floor load.
Plan charging during the rental period
Plan a power connection at the parking spot for breaks and overnight. We will clarify which connection is needed with you when you enquire.
Heavy assembly in commercial areas: heavy-duty telehandlers from 7,200 kg
In the commercial areas along the A8 and around Karlsfeld and Bergkirchen, halls, steel structures and production facilities are being built or converted. For steel girders, precast concrete elements or machinery, rent a heavy-duty telehandler. The 7 models in our rental fleet lift from 7,200 kg to heights of 9.40 to 11.92 m.
Load centre and outreach determine the permissible load
The rated lifting capacity only applies to the load centre stated in the data sheet and at short outreach. With every metre the boom extends forward, the permissible load decreases. Please therefore tell us the weight of the heaviest load, its dimensions and the distance to the set-down point, so that we can select the model using the load chart.
Telehandler attachments in Dachau: five tools in the rental fleet
With the right attachment, a telehandler takes over the tasks of other machines. Five attachments are available in our rental fleet:
-
Bucket for bulk material, excavated soil and agricultural work in the Dachau hinterland
-
Work platform (basket) for short jobs at height; for longer assignments a telescopic boom lift is the better choice
-
Load hook for lifts as with a crane
-
Rope winch for lifting and controlled lowering of loads
-
Lattice jib winch for greater hook heights
The manufacturer specifies which attachment fits which model. You will find the overview under Telehandler attachments.
Transport to Dachau: around 210 km from Passau
It is around 210 km from Passau to Dachau, via the A3, the A92 and the A99 motorway ring. Small telehandlers arrive on a truck, large rotating and heavy-duty machines on a low-loader. Plan a paved unloading area at the site. We coordinate deliveries into the old town with you by arrangement; early scheduling is recommended.
We also deliver throughout the district of Dachau, for example to Karlsfeld, Bergkirchen, Hebertshausen, Markt Indersdorf and Altomuenster. Read more about delivery and collection under Transport.
Obligations for telehandlers in Dachau: qualification according to DGUV Principle 308-009
Anyone operating a telehandler must, in accordance with DGUV Regulation 68, be at least 18 years old, suitable, trained and authorised in writing by the employer. Training follows DGUV Principle 308-009: level 1 applies to fixed telehandlers, level 2a to rotating telehandlers and crane operation, and level 2b to use with a work platform.
Risk assessment and instruction before use
Before use, the employer assesses the hazards in accordance with Section 3 of the German Industrial Safety Regulation (BetrSichV), such as ground conditions, overhead power lines and traffic on the construction site. In accordance with Section 12 of the German Occupational Safety and Health Act (ArbSchG) and Section 12 BetrSichV, the employer instructs the operators on the specific machine. We do not offer training ourselves: we will inform you about certified partners free of charge and without obligation; find out more under Training through certified partners.
