Rent telescopic boom lifts in Dachau
Rent telescopic boom lifts for Dachau from Luibl Rental: 26 models with 14.00 to 56.90 m working height and up to 27.43 m horizontal outreach. In Dachau, the deciding factor is often not the height but the ground: large parts of the town and its surroundings lie in the Dachau Moor (Dachauer Moos), a drained fen with peat layers and a high water table. A 5.9 t platform stands very differently there from a 24.9 t one. That is why we sort our telescopic boom lifts first by operating weight, then by height and outreach, and deliver them from our Passau location.
Rent telescopic boom lifts in Dachau by operating weight: four classes from 5.9 to 24.9 t
The operating weight determines which surface can carry the platform and which access route it needs. Our 26 telescopic boom lifts fall into four classes:
| Weight class | Models | Working height | Examples | Typical use in Dachau |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5.9 to 8.6 t | 5 | 14.00–20.60 m | Haulotte H14TX, Genie S-45, Genie S-60 FE, Zoomlion ZT18JE-Li | Old town, courtyards, halls, paved paths |
| 10.4 to 13.6 t | 7 | 21.74–22.95 m | Genie S-65, JLG 660SJ, Zoomlion ZT21JE-Li, Manitou 220 TJ Plus | Residential and commercial construction, facades on main roads |
| 16.3 to 18.5 t | 8 | 25.91–38.73 m | Manitou 260TJ, Haulotte H28TJ Plus, Genie S-85XC, JLG 1200SJP | Hall roofs, industrial plants, high gables |
| 20.2 to 24.9 t | 6 | 40.10–56.90 m | Genie S-125, Genie SX-135XC, JLG 1350SJP, Genie SX-180 | Towers, masts, large buildings |
The lightest platform is the Haulotte H14TX at 5,900 kg, the heaviest the Genie SX-180 at 24,856 kg. Anyone working on soft ground therefore often chooses a lighter platform with more outreach instead of driving a heavy machine close to the building. All models with data sheets can be found under rent telescopic boom lifts.
Telescopic boom lifts in the Dachau Moor: ground bearing capacity matters before working height
The Dachau Moor stretches from Dachau via Karlsfeld and Bergkirchen to the north of Munich. Beneath meadows, gardens and new building plots there is often peat and soft soil, and the water table is high. A telescopic boom lift transfers its weight to the ground through its wheels. If the ground gives way under one wheel, the entire machine tilts.
Check the subsoil before the job
If a soil survey is available, tell us the permissible ground pressure. Without a survey, details about the surface help: asphalt, paving, gravel, lawn or a freshly backfilled excavation. From this we work out which weight class is suitable.
Reinforce access routes and set-up areas
On unpaved ground, the client prepares access routes and set-up areas, for example with gravel, steel plates or crane mats. This also applies to the route from the unloading point to the building, because the ground must carry the platform along the entire way.
Reassess after rain
Moorland soils react strongly to moisture. A surface that holds in summer can become soft after several days of rain or when the water table rises. Check the set-up area again on the day of the job.
Telescopic boom lifts for Dachau old town and palace: outreach instead of access
Dachau's old town sits on a ridge above the Amper river, crowned by the palace and its court garden. Narrow lanes, slopes and listed buildings shape the jobs here.
Slopes at the Schlossberg
A telescopic boom lift needs a level set-up area with sufficient bearing capacity. On the slope between the old town and the Amper, this can often only be found on the street or in a car park. The horizontal outreach then bridges the distance to the facade: 10.30 m with the Haulotte H14TX, 17.10 m with the Genie S-65, 23.32 m with the Genie S-85.
Narrow lanes and set-up areas
For work on townhouses and roofs in the old town, the light class up to 8.6 t is usually the right choice. If the platform occupies public space, you need a special use permit from the town of Dachau and, if traffic is affected, a traffic management order. At the palace and other listed monuments, you also coordinate the job with the owner and the heritage conservation authority.
Telescopic boom lifts for commercial and new builds between Dachau, Karlsfeld and the A8
Outside the old town you usually work on paved surfaces. Here, height, outreach and drive type take priority.
Halls and workshops
In halls and close to residential buildings you work with electric drive and zero exhaust emissions on site: Zoomlion ZT18JE-Li with 20.60 m, ZT21JE-Li with 22.95 m and ZT26JE with 28.70 m working height. The Genie S-60 FE with hybrid drive reaches 20.60 m. The remaining 22 models run on diesel and are suited to outdoor use.
New residential districts and conversions
In Dachau and the neighbouring municipalities, new residential districts and commercial buildings are being built, some of them on former industrial sites such as the grounds of the former paper mill. For facades up to the fourth or fifth storey, the class around 22 m is usually sufficient. On freshly backfilled ground, the advice above on the moor applies.
Large machines over 40 m
For church towers, masts and tall industrial buildings, six platforms from 40.10 to 56.90 m are available. They weigh over 20 t and need an access route with corresponding bearing capacity.

Transporting the telescopic boom lift from Passau to Dachau
We deliver the telescopic boom lift from our Passau location by low-loader. Dachau is around 200 km from Passau, mostly via the A3 and A92. We agree the delivery date with you. For large machines over 40 m working height, we recommend booking early.
We also deliver to Karlsfeld, Bergkirchen, Hebertshausen, Markt Indersdorf and Petershausen, as well as to the Munich and Fuerstenfeldbruck area. The low-loader needs firm ground for unloading. In the moor and in the old town, this is often not the job site itself but a nearby street or paved area. Please tell us this unloading point when you send your enquiry.
Operator duties for telescopic boom lifts in Dachau: DGUV Principle 308-008 and BetrSichV
A telescopic boom lift may only be operated by persons who have been trained, instructed and authorised in writing. Training follows DGUV Principle (Grundsatz) 308-008; instruction follows ArbSchG § 12 and BetrSichV § 12 (German Industrial Safety Regulation).
Risk assessment under BetrSichV § 3
Before the job, the employer assesses the hazards. In Dachau these include in particular the ground bearing capacity, the incline on slopes, wind, traffic and the rescue of persons from the basket.
Training via certified partners
A familiarisation on a machine does not replace operator training. You can obtain the operator licence or the IPAF PAL Card from certified training providers. We will gladly provide free, no-obligation information on training via certified partners.
