Telehandler rental in Rosenheim – chosen by construction method
For construction sites in Rosenheim, 64 telehandlers with 4.30 to 38.90 m lift height and 1,250 to 33,000 kg lifting capacity are available, delivered by low-loader from Passau. The city has developed from a salt and railway town into a centre of timber and higher education; the university of applied sciences has its own faculty of wood technology and construction.
The loads vary accordingly: large-format timber elements, heavy pallets of blocks, long steel trusses or material that has to pass through a narrow courtyard entrance. There is no single machine for everything. That is why we organise our rental fleet here by construction method. For an overview of all machines for the city, see Construction machinery rental in Rosenheim; the complete model list is in the Telehandlers category.
Telehandler rental in Rosenheim: which type suits which construction method
The construction method determines whether a fixed telehandler is enough or whether a rotating superstructure is needed. The table summarises the assignment.
| Construction method | Typical load | Type | Rental fleet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Timber construction | Wall, floor and roof elements | Roto, fixed for short distances | 37 Roto: 15.42–38.90 m, 4,000–8,000 kg |
| Masonry construction | Pallets of blocks, mortar, scaffolding parts | fixed | 19 models: 4.30–18.80 m, 1,250–5,500 kg |
| Steel and hall construction | Trusses, purlins, roof sheeting | Roto as crane replacement | Magni RTH 6.39SH: 38.90 m, 27.00 m outreach |
| Renovation of existing buildings | Material through gate and courtyard | Electric | Manitou MT 625e: 5.85 m, 2,500 kg |
| Special case heavy loads | Machinery, precast concrete elements | Heavy-duty | 7 models: 9.40–11.92 m, 7,200–33,000 kg |
Attachments for every construction method
Available for rent are bucket, work basket, load hook, winch and lattice jib winch; the Attachments category provides an overview. Timber and steel construction call for load hooks and winches, masonry construction for the forks, the yard for the bucket. With the work basket, the telehandler becomes an elevated work platform, which requires a separate qualification level. Specify in your enquiry which attachments you need so that machine and accessories arrive together on the low-loader. If only people need to go up and no loads, a machine from the Telescopic boom lifts category is often the simpler solution, because it is built for working in the basket.
Timber construction in Rosenheim: telehandlers for wall and roof elements
Timber has a long tradition in Rosenheim; the industry ranges from parquet flooring to window technology. On the construction site this means prefabricated elements that are large but comparatively light. Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences also trains people for this sector with degree programmes such as Wood Technology and Timber Construction and Interior Finishing.
Placing elements on the hook
A Roto telehandler with load hook or winch lifts wall and roof elements from the truck directly to the installation point and rotates them without moving the chassis. The Merlo Roto 75.25 reaches 25.00 m lift height, 19.50 m outreach and 7,500 kg lifting capacity. The load chart is decisive: as the outreach increases, the permissible load drops significantly.
Wind and coordination with assembly
Flat elements present a large surface to the wind, so the operator works to the wind limit stated in the operating manual. Coordinate the delivery of the elements with the position of the telehandler so that the outreach during lifting remains as small as possible. For this, the Roto stands on its outriggers and covers several axes from one position.
Masonry construction: fixed telehandlers in Rosenheim for pallets and scaffolding
Masonry construction involves many heavy pallets that have to go onto the scaffolding or floor slab storey by storey. A fixed telehandler is the economical tool for this.
Supplying scaffolding storey by storey
The Merlo P 40.17 lifts 4,000 kg and reaches 16.70 m lift height and 12.50 m outreach with an own weight of 10,630 kg. This allows blocks, bags of mortar or scaffold boards to be brought up to the upper storeys of an apartment building. Position the pallets so that the telehandler can pick them up with a short drive.
Ground conditions in the Rosenheim Basin
Rosenheim lies in the Rosenheim Basin on the bed of a former glacial lake. How much load the ground of a construction site can bear is answered by the geotechnical report, not by experience from the neighbouring plot. Lay out site roads and set-up areas so that they bear the telehandler and load, even after prolonged rain.
Steel and hall construction: Roto telehandlers in Rosenheim instead of a mobile crane
For halls with trusses, purlins and roof sheeting, a Roto telehandler often replaces the mobile crane. It lifts, rotates and can then continue working with forks or basket.
Lifting trusses and roof sheeting
The Magni RTH 6.39SH is the tallest model in the rental fleet: 38.90 m lift height, 27.00 m outreach, 6,000 kg lifting capacity. It measures 8.60 × 2.54 × 3.12 m and weighs 24,000 kg. For outrigger support it needs a level, load-bearing area next to the hall. With a load hook or lattice jib winch, the load hangs freely from the boom and can be set down between the trusses.
When space is too tight
Inside halls or on tight plots, a Roto is sometimes too large to be set up on outriggers next to the building. In such cases it is worth looking at the mini crane in Rosenheim.
Renovation of existing buildings: telehandlers for narrow access routes in Rosenheim
For conversions in residential neighbourhoods and in the old town, passages, courtyards and floor loads set the limits. This is where the smallest telehandler in the rental fleet fits.
Electric telehandlers in courtyards and halls
The Manitou MT 625e is 3.83 m long, 1.81 m wide and 1.92 m high and weighs 4,800 kg. It lifts 2,500 kg to 5.85 m, reaches 3.40 m and works without exhaust emissions on site. This makes it suitable for inner courtyards and buildings where no diesel engine should run. In the pedestrian zone around Max-Josefs-Platz you need a permit from the city for access and parking space.
Material over front gardens and balconies
If the house stands behind a front garden or a garage, outreach helps rather than height. The Merlo P 40.17 sets down pallets up to 12.50 m in front of the machine, bringing roof tiles, windows or insulation directly onto balcony, scaffolding or roof surface. When renovating existing buildings, check beforehand whether scaffolding and balcony can take the load being set down.
Heavy loads as a special case: telehandlers up to 33,000 kg in Rosenheim
Some loads do not fit any construction method: machinery, precast elements, steel components. For these there are seven heavy-duty telehandlers with 7,200 to 33,000 kg lifting capacity and 9.40 to 11.92 m lift height.
What must be settled before a heavy-load job
At these weights, what counts is the weight and centre of gravity of the load, the outreach and the travel route to the set-down point. Have it checked whether the hall floor, gate and ground can take the total weight of machine and load. If details on the centre of gravity are missing, ask the manufacturer of the machine before planning.
Heavy-duty telehandlers do not lift as high as Roto machines, but they move loads that would otherwise require a crane or a heavy-duty forklift. They are particularly suitable for bringing machinery into factory halls and moving precast elements on level, paved ground.
Telehandlers to Rosenheim: delivery by low-loader from Passau
From Passau it is around 160 km to Rosenheim. We bring the telehandler by low-loader; details can be found under Transport.
The access route must be passable for the low-loader including the machine; for the Merlo Roto 75.25 the telehandler alone weighs 28,000 kg. Let us know about bottlenecks, height restrictions and the unloading point. On construction sites with changing construction phases, the unloading area should still be clear and accessible at collection, for example if scaffolding, containers or material storage have been added by then.
The same applies to destinations in the surrounding area such as Kolbermoor, Bad Aibling, Raubling, Rohrdorf or Wasserburg am Inn. There are also pages with a local focus for Muehldorf am Inn, Munich and telehandlers in Erding.
Obligations for telehandler operators in Rosenheim
Telehandlers count as industrial trucks, so DGUV Vorschrift 68 applies. Under § 7, only persons who are at least 18 years old, suitable and trained, and have been commissioned in writing by the employer may drive them.
Training levels according to DGUV Grundsatz 308-009
Training is based on DGUV Grundsatz 308-009. Level 1 covers fixed telehandlers, additional level 2a Roto machines and crane operation with hook or winch, additional level 2b the work basket. In addition, the BetrSichV requires a risk assessment under § 3 and instruction under § 12, as does § 12 ArbSchG. At handover we show you the rented machine; the driver's qualification remains the responsibility of the company. On request, we can put you in touch with a certified training provider for the required level via training through certified partners, free of charge and without obligation.
