Anyone planning excavation work, pipeline refurbishment or installation work on a construction site in Vienna needs equipment that arrives on time, has been inspected and suits the task. Luibl delivers construction machinery, telehandlers and work platforms directly to your site in the greater Vienna area – using our own low-loader fleet from a network of over 200 locations. All hired equipment is inspected in accordance with § 8 of the Equipment Ordinance (AM-VO) before delivery. The inspection record is provided when the equipment is handed over.

Our hire fleet for Vienna covers three areas of application: earthmoving and civil engineering, lifting and logistics equipment, and height access. • 1.8-tonne mini excavator | Yanmar SV18 – operating weight 1,975kg, digging depth 2.29m, lifting height 3.76m, lateral reach 4.04m. Suitable for work in underground car parks, tight courtyards and basement stairwells, where transport width and turning radius are limiting factors.

• 3.5-tonne mini excavator | Bobcat E35 – operating weight 3,424kg, lifting height 4.99m, lateral reach 5.35m. Suitable for cable and pipe trenching in built-up areas without closing traffic lanes.

• 5-tonne compact excavator | Bobcat E50 – operating weight 5,143kg, lifting height 6.06m, lateral reach 5.60m. The standard solution for foundation work, drainage construction and slope stabilisation in the Vienna area.

• 8.5-tonne compact excavator | Bobcat E85 – operating weight 8,500kg, lifting height 6.98m, lateral reach 6.92m. For medium-duty groundworks and demolition work with interchangeable attachments (digging bucket, ditching bucket, hydraulic hammer).

• 14-tonne crawler excavator | Doosan DX-140LC-5 – operating weight 14,000kg, lifting height 8.75m, lateral reach 8.53m. Areas of use: civil engineering, pipe-laying, demolition.

• 23-tonne crawler excavator | Doosan DX-235LC-5 – operating weight 22,800kg, lifting height 9.56m, lateral reach 9.88m. Suitable for large-scale earthmoving, infrastructure projects and material handling with a sorting grab or digging bucket.

All models are supplied with a complete operating manual, a current inspection record in accordance with AM-VO and – on request – a suitable attachment. Hydraulic hammers, digging buckets in various cutting widths, ditching buckets and sorting grabs can be ordered separately.

Fixed and rotating: telehandlers for warehouse and infrastructure construction

Telehandlers complement our earthmoving machinery wherever material needs to be moved at height or lifted to hard-to-reach positions:

Fixed telehandlers reach lifting heights of up to 19m with load capacities of up to approximately 4,000kg. They are suitable for supplying materials on shell-construction sites and in logistics areas with paved access routes.

Roto telehandlers (rotating) – including the Magni RTH 6-39 SH model – reach lifting heights of up to 39m. Thanks to their 360° slewing ring, they work productively even where direct access to the point of use is not possible. Fitted with a work platform (personnel carriage in accordance with the load chart per ÖNORM EN 280), they serve as an aerial work platform; with a winch, they replace a mobile crane within defined load parameters.

Heavy-duty telehandlers – the range extends up to the Manitou MHT 10200 with a lifting capacity of 20,000kg. For handling steel components, precast beams or transformers on large construction sites with varying ground conditions.

Delivery is handled by our own low-loader fleet – no third-party logistics, no coordination losses. The machine is delivered directly to the point of use, not to an excavation site in the surrounding area.

For sites within the Gürtel or in densely built-up districts, specific requirements apply regarding delivery time, set-down area and the turning circle of the transport vehicle. This information is agreed with you before delivery – so that the construction schedule is not disrupted.

The same delivery conditions apply to projects in Lower Austria (NÖ-Süd industrial centre, the Aspern area, Schwechat, Klosterneuburg, Wiener Neustadt). Our network of over 200 locations ensures that regional availability bottlenecks are balanced out.

Long-term hire: For projects running over several weeks or months, Luibl puts together tailored combined quotes. These typically include UVV inspection, maintenance intervals in line with manufacturer specifications and – on request – the provision of an on-site engineer (via Monteuranforderung Miete). A single point of contact manages the entire machine fleet for the duration of the project.

In Austria, all construction machinery and lifting equipment is subject to mandatory periodic inspection under § 8 of the Equipment Ordinance (AM-VO). Inspection intervals depend on the type of machine and operating conditions; for excavators and crane installations, the standard cycle is 12 months.

The inspection log for each hired machine is provided on handover. This allows you, as the hirer, to meet your documentation obligations towards the Labour Inspectorate and avoid site stoppages due to missing records.

In Austria, the AUVA guidelines and the requirements of the Construction Worker Protection Ordinance (BauV) apply to the instruction of operating personnel. Luibl provides machine-specific operating manuals in German. For cross-border projects involving German personnel, DGUV Rule 100-500 and DGUV Regulation 68/69 are additionally relevant as reference standards; the machines meet the applicable requirements in both jurisdictions.

Compliance with the original load charts – set out in the operating manual of the respective manufacturer (Bobcat, Doosan, Yanmar, Manitou, Magni, Merlo) – forms part of the handover documentation. Any overload damage occurring outside the specified load range is the hirer's responsibility.
