Electric scissor lifts operate emission-free and quietly – a requirement for use in enclosed warehouses, production buildings or the NÖ-South industrial centre. The decisive technical feature for interior use: non-marking tyres. White solid rubber tyres leave no marks and no pressure points on epoxy floors, precast concrete surfaces or coated industrial flooring.

Luibl Rental offers electric scissor lifts with a basket load capacity of up to 500 kg – relevant when tools, cable reels and assembly material all need to go in the basket together. Articulated telescopic boom lifts for awkward façades and assembly work

Articulated telescopic boom lifts are the tool of choice when obstacles lie between the machine and the working point. During renovation of older buildings in Vienna's Josefstadt, Neubau, Döbling or other Gründerzeit districts, balconies, bay windows and roof overhangs block direct access. When working height is the decisive criterion – façade sealing, window replacement on high-rises, tree care in parks – telescopic boom lifts and truck-mounted platforms are the more efficient choice compared with scaffolding. Telescopic boom lifts reach working heights of up to 57 metres with a lateral reach of up to 28 metres.

Truck-mounted platforms have a structural advantage for urban use: they drive independently on public roads and require no separate transport vehicles. For vehicles up to 3,500 kg, a category B driving licence is sufficient. For larger carrier vehicles, category C1 or C applies. The bridge weight class of the access road and the vehicle's permitted gross weight must be checked in advance – this check is the client's responsibility; we provide the technical vehicle data.

For deployments within Vienna's Gürtel ring road or in traffic-calmed zones, no-parking orders and temporary road closures often need to be applied for with the responsible district administrative authority. Luibl Rental supports you with the necessary vehicle data, dimension plans and transport weights so you can submit a complete application to the authority. The permit itself is obtained by the client or their site management.

For long-term projects – construction or renovation spanning several months – technicians can be deployed on site for the entire rental period on request. This keeps downtime from operating errors or mechanical issues to an absolute minimum.

In Austria, the Ordinance on Work Equipment (AM-VO) governs the requirements for aerial work platforms. Under § 8 AM-VO, platforms must be inspected at least once a year, as well as after unusual events – collision, overload, visible deformation – by an approved inspection body or a chartered mechanical engineer. Every machine in Luibl Rental's fleet meets this requirement. Inspection documentation is supplied with the machine on delivery.

In addition to the technical equipment inspection, the AM-VO requires that operators have received documented instruction before first use. In cooperation with certified partners, Luibl Rental offers IPAF training (PAL card). IPAF training is internationally recognised and documents operator qualification in the IPAF database. This is relevant when your site management needs to demonstrate, as part of the risk assessment, that operators deployed are sufficiently qualified.

The on-site risk assessment is the employer's responsibility. Luibl Rental supports you with complete technical data sheets, manufacturer-specific load and reach charts, and operating instructions in German.

Before selecting equipment, clarify the following points:

• Ground load-bearing capacity: Permitted surface load under the outrigger pads in kN/m² – always involve a structural engineer for underground car park slabs, cellar vaults or bridges.

• Clear headroom: Entrance gates, underpasses and bridges on the access route determine the machine's maximum transport height.

• Power supply for electric platforms: 230 V / 16 A for smaller models; 400 V / 32 A for models from 18 metres working height upwards. Check charge status and charging infrastructure on site in advance.

• Wind load: Work with aerial work platforms must stop once wind speed reaches 12.5 m/s (approx. Beaufort scale 6). For exposed elevated positions or building edges, a site-specific wind analysis is advisable.

• Outrigger footprint: For narrow Viennese lanes and pavements, compare the machine's total outrigger footprint with the available road width. Narrow electric platforms with a small outrigger footprint have an advantage here.
