Children of famous parents often have a hard time: the pressure is high, success is expected. This is also the case with the LTM 1650-8.1, which we presented at Bauma 2019 as the successor to the legendary LTM 1500-8.1, the best-selling large crane of all time. This heavy-duty crane naturally carries the concept of its predecessor in its genes – maximum performance on eight axles. The result: the 8-axle truck effortlessly completes lifting jobs in the 700-ton class and even above. Consequently, it has a nominal load capacity of 700 tons. In a payload comparison, the LTM 1650-8.1 thus outperforms its predecessor by between 15 and 50 percent, depending on the equipment.
