Forklift Rental in Dachau: 53 Models up to 6.07 m Lift Height

Lift height is the fastest way to narrow down the choice, because each type covers its own range. All 53 forklifts at a glance:

Our forklifts do not lift higher than 6.07 m. If a load needs to go onto a roof, into an upper floor or over scaffolding, a telehandler is the right machine.

The rated load capacity only applies up to a certain lift height and for the load centre stated in the data sheet. Above that, the permissible load decreases; this is known as the residual load capacity. The load chart on the machine shows which values apply. We check it against your details before we suggest a model.

Racking warehouses: the top level determines the machine

What matters is the upper edge of the highest rack compartment plus clearance for storing and retrieving, not the hall height. If the top level is at around 5 m, high-lift pallet stackers with 5.50 m or electric forklifts up to 6.00 m are suitable. Heavy pallets high up tend to call for an electric forklift with a higher rated capacity, because it retains more residual load capacity up there.

Truck loading: little height, but wide loads

At the loading ramp or from the yard, almost any lift height is sufficient. What counts here is fork length, the width of the load and a centre of gravity that lies further forward with long crates or bundles than with a Euro pallet. So please give us the dimensions as well, not just the weight.

Doors and ceilings: the overall height of the mast

Conversely, the forklift has to fit into the hall. The overall height with the mast lowered, door openings and low ceilings in older buildings set the limit here. Measure the lowest door along the route, and we will compare it with the data sheet.

In enclosed halls we recommend electric forklifts or high-lift pallet stackers. They produce no exhaust fumes at the place of use and operate quietly, which matters in warehouses with picking stations and in production halls. In the business parks in Dachau-Ost, Karlsfeld and Bergkirchen near the A8, the goods range from pallets to mesh box pallets. Plan charging before the forklift arrives

An electric forklift needs a charging point with a suitable power connection. Clarify in advance where the machine will be parked and charged overnight. For shift operation, it is worth asking whether a second machine can bridge the charging time.

LPG forklifts between hall and yard

If you frequently switch between the hall and outdoor areas, an LPG forklift gives you flexibility. Whether its use inside the hall is permissible is determined in your risk assessment, for example with regard to ventilation and room size.

Outdoors in Dachau, the ground is often the deciding factor. Between Dachau, Karlsfeld and the north of Munich lies the Dachau Moss (Dachauer Moos), with peaty soils and a high water table. On unpaved surfaces narrow tyres sink in, and a loaded forklift transfers its weight into the ground through just a few contact points.

Diesel forklifts on paved yards

On paved or asphalted storage yards, for example in the building materials trade, our eleven diesel forklifts work with 3,000 to 10,000 kg and up to 6.00 m lift height. They are designed for long outdoor routes, but because of their exhaust fumes they do not belong permanently in enclosed halls.

For machinery relocations, tool moulds or steel beams, we have seven heavy-duty forklifts with 8,000 to 33,000 kg load capacity. The most powerful machine is the Kalmar DCG 330-12T with 33,000 kg; the greatest lift height in this class is offered by the Hyundai 80D-9 with 6.07 m. With loads like these, the centre of gravity is rarely in the middle. We therefore need the weight, dimensions and, if possible, the position of the centre of gravity, plus the load-bearing capacity of the hall floor and the width of the doors along the route.
