Telehandler rental in Deggendorf: 63 models for every type of load
For jobs in Deggendorf, Luibl Rental has 63 telehandlers available: 19 fixed, 36 rotating and 7 heavy-duty telehandlers plus one electric model, with lifting heights from 4.30 to 38.90 m and load capacities from 1,250 to 33,000 kg. In Deggendorf, the type of load is what mainly decides which design fits. Pallets on a residential building site, steel girders for a hall on the A3, a machine in a plant or bulk material on a farm each place different demands on outreach, load capacity and attachment. Delivery is from our Passau location, around 60 km via the A3.
Telehandler rental in Deggendorf: the load determines the design
Load capacity and lifting height alone often lead to the wrong machine. What matters more is what is being moved, how far from the set-up position it is placed and which attachment it needs. The table matches the typical loads on Deggendorf building sites to the four telehandler types in our rental fleet.
| Load | Type | Rental fleet | Typical use in Deggendorf |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pallets, masonry blocks, insulation | fixed | 19 models, 4.30–18.80 m, 1,250–5,500 kg | Housing in new development areas, shell construction, supplying scaffolding |
| Steel girders, roof elements, ventilation units on the hook | rotating | 36 models, 15.42–38.90 m, 4,000–8,000 kg | Hall construction at the A3/A92 motorway junction, installation in the port area |
| Machines, plant components, heavy building parts | heavy-duty | 7 models, 9.40–11.92 m, 7,200–33,000 kg | Plants and industrial estates, handling at the Danube port |
| Material for interior fit-out and halls | electric | Manitou MT 625e, 5.85 m, 2,500 kg | Fit-out inside buildings, production and warehouse halls |
Pallets and building materials: fixed telehandlers for Deggendorf building sites
Where a residential or commercial building rises storey by storey, a fixed telehandler is usually enough. It places pallets directly on the slab or scaffold level and, on smaller sites, takes over the material supply that would otherwise require a tower crane.
In the Danube and Isar floodplain, operating weight matters
Large parts of the town lie in the Danube floodplain, not far from the mouth of the Isar. After rain or when groundwater is high, an unpaved surface there bears considerably less than a compacted gravel track. Check in advance whether the site road can take the weight of the telehandler including its load, and lay access routes with panels or gravel if required. The operating weight of every model is in its data sheet, and we will state it in our quotation.
On the slopes towards the Bavarian Forest, the gradient matters
North of the Danube the terrain rises, for example at the Geiersberg or towards the Rusel. Telehandlers may only work within the gradient permitted by the manufacturer and the load chart. Plan the placement point so that the boom is only extended on level, load-bearing ground and the machine never travels across the slope with a raised load.
Inside buildings, the electric telehandler does the work
For material in interior fit-out or in halls, the Manitou MT 625e is available. It is 1.81 m wide and 1.92 m high, lifts 2,500 kg to up to 5.85 m and runs electrically, so there are no exhaust fumes on site. Check door widths, floor load and a charging point in advance.
Steel girders and roof elements: rotating telehandlers for hall construction in Deggendorf
Around the Deggendorf motorway junction and in industrial estates such as Land Au, logistics and production halls are being built. For trusses, purlins, trapezoidal sheets or ventilation units, a rotating telehandler works like a small mobile crane: the machine stands on its outriggers, the superstructure slews, and the load is guided to the installation point on the load hook or the winch.
Outreach decides, not lifting height
A roof element installed at a height of 12 m and 20 m away from the set-up position needs a different machine than the same load placed directly at the wall. The load chart is decisive: it shows which load is permitted at which height and outreach. The largest model, the Magni RTH 6.39SH, reaches a lifting height of 38.90 m, an outreach of 27.00 m and a load capacity of 6,000 kg, but not all three values at the same time. Tell us the weight, height and distance of the heaviest load, and we will check the load chart for you.
In the port area, the operator's rules apply
At the Danube port of Deggendorf, the port regulations and the operator determine where machines may be set up on outriggers and operated. Agree the set-up position, the distance to the quay edge and any approvals before delivery.
Heavy machine parts: heavy-duty telehandlers up to 33,000 kg in Deggendorf
When a plant is relocated within a factory or a component of more than 8 t has to be moved, the rotating models with 4,000 to 8,000 kg are no longer sufficient. The seven heavy-duty telehandlers in our rental fleet carry 7,200 to 33,000 kg at lifting heights from 9.40 to 11.92 m. They work across the ground rather than at height: loads are lifted, moved and set down on a foundation or a low-loader.
Clarify load centre, ground and clearance in advance
The rated load capacity only applies at the load centre specified by the manufacturer. If a machine's centre of gravity is off-centre or further forward on the forks, the permitted load decreases. In addition, the hall floor must be able to bear the wheel loads, and gates and passages must match the machine's dimensions. These three points should be settled before we schedule the machine.
Bulk material and pallets on the farm: telehandlers with attachments in the Deggendorf district
South of the Danube, the Gaeuboden begins with its large arable fields, while to the north lie the villages on the edge of the Bavarian Forest. On farms, storage yards and in landscaping, a telehandler with a bucket becomes a loader for gravel, soil or bulk material, and with forks it moves pallets and containers. The following attachments are available for rent:
-
Bucket for bulk material, gravel and soil
-
Work platform for jobs at height
-
Load hook for slung loads
-
Winch for lifting and guiding loads
-
Lattice jib winch for greater hook heights
Which attachment fits which model depends on the coupling and the load chart. We will coordinate this with your quotation.
People and tools: telehandlers with a work platform in Deggendorf
With a work platform, a rotating telehandler takes people and their tools up to a facade, roof edge or hall ceiling. This pays off above all when a telehandler is already on the same site for material handling, for example in hall construction or when renovating a building in the old town. For longer jobs purely at height, a telescopic boom lift in Deggendorf is usually the better choice.
If the telehandler is set up on public land, for example on the Stadtplatz, you need a permit from the town of Deggendorf. For listed buildings, the monument protection authority must also be involved.
Transport to Deggendorf: around 60 km from Passau
From our Passau location it is around 60 km via the A3 to Deggendorf. Sites in the surrounding district, such as Plattling, Osterhofen, Hengersberg, Metten or Schoellnach, are therefore also close to our location. How the machine is delivered depends on its dimensions and weight: the Magni RTH 6.39SH measures 8.60 × 2.54 × 3.12 m and weighs 24,000 kg, the MT 625e measures 3.83 × 1.81 × 1.92 m at 4,800 kg. Therefore, clarify access, turning space and a level unloading area in advance. You can find out more about delivery and collection under Transport.
Telehandler obligations in Deggendorf: DGUV Regulation 68 and DGUV Principle 308-009

Additional level 2a: rotating telehandlers and crane operation with load hook or winch
-
Additional level 2b: work with a work platform
The measures required on site are defined by the risk assessment under Section 3 of the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV). Instruction is given in accordance with Section 12 of the German Occupational Safety and Health Act (ArbSchG) and Section 12 BetrSichV.
