Rent telehandlers in Ergolding: 64 models for building, industry and farms
You can rent telehandlers for Ergolding from 64 models in our fleet: fixed up to 18.80 m lifting height, rotating (roto) up to 38.90 m, heavy-duty machines up to 33,000 kg capacity and an electric model for halls. In Ergolding, the right type depends less on the height than on who uses the machine. A building contractor in housing needs something different from a carpentry firm on a hall roof, an industrial company on the boundary with Landshut or a farm in the hill country north of the A 92. Below you will find the right machine for each of these four groups, the attachments, the transport from Passau and the duties for drivers.

You will find the models for each type in the categories fixed telehandlers, roto telehandlers, heavy-duty telehandlers and electric telehandlers.
Building contractors in Ergolding lift onto the scaffolding with a fixed telehandler
In housing and commercial construction, the fixed telehandler brings material from the storage area directly onto the scaffolding, floor slab or roof. It drives across the site with the load and sets it down without a second machine being needed.
Check the load chart first, then the lifting height
A telehandler's capacity only applies with the boom retracted. The further you extend it, the less the load may weigh. The Merlo P 40.17, for example, reaches 16.70 m lifting height and 12.50 m outreach with 4,000 kg capacity. Which load it lifts in which position is shown by the load chart. So tell us the weight, height and distance of the heaviest pallet, not just the height.
In the Isar valley the site road carries the weight
South of the A 92, the village centre and residential areas lie in the flat Isar valley. The valley floor can give way after rain or when the groundwater is high. The Merlo P 40.17 weighs 10,630 kg, and the site road must carry this weight. On soft ground, lay load distribution plates or reinforce the access roads with gravel.
Public ground requires a permit
If the telehandler stands on a pavement or carriageway, apply for a special use permit. For municipal roads the municipality of Ergolding (Markt Ergolding) is responsible, for federal and state roads the respective road authority.
Carpenters and hall builders use a roto telehandler instead of a mobile crane
For roof structures, hall trusses and steel beams, the rotating telehandler is often the better choice than a mobile crane. It stands on outriggers, rotates its superstructure and lifts the load with a load hook or cable winch to the installation point. Change the attachment, and the same roto moves pallets the next day.
Outreach and height from the rental fleet
Our 37 roto models range from 15.42 to 38.90 m lifting height. The Merlo Roto 75.25 reaches 25.00 m lifting height and 19.50 m outreach with 7,500 kg capacity. The Magni RTH 6.39SH reaches 38.90 m lifting height and 27.00 m outreach with 6,000 kg. Here too, the full capacity is only available close to the machine.
Plan space for outriggers and weight
Roto telehandlers are large and heavy. The Magni RTH 6.39SH measures 8.60 × 2.54 × 3.12 m and weighs 24,000 kg, the Merlo Roto 75.25 weighs 28,000 kg. In addition to the vehicle's footprint, you need space for the extended outriggers and load-bearing ground beneath them. If outreach or capacity are not sufficient according to the load chart, a crane remains the solution. For light loads in tight courtyards, a mini crane in Landshut is an alternative.
Industrial companies on the boundary with Landshut use heavy-duty and electric telehandlers
The commercial and industrial areas in the west of Ergolding adjoin Landshut directly. There the tasks are heavy single loads outdoors and material flow in halls. There is a separate machine type for each.
Heavy-duty up to 33,000 kg for machines and plant components
Our seven heavy-duty telehandlers lift 7,200 to 33,000 kg to 9.40 to 11.92 m. They move machines, unload plant components from trucks or bring components to the assembly point. The centre of gravity of the load is decisive: if it is off-centre, the permissible load decreases. Also check the door width, the floor load capacity and the route from the unloading area to the destination.
Electric for halls and warehouses
In enclosed halls you work with the Manitou MT 625e. It lifts 2,500 kg to 5.85 m, reaches 3.40 m forwards and produces no exhaust fumes on site. At 1.81 m wide and 1.92 m high it fits through standard hall doors, and it weighs 4,800 kg. Plan a charging point.
Clarify plant rules before delivery
On plant premises the operator determines access, working hours and safety rules. Register the machine type, dimensions and weight before the low-loader sets off. The operator often also requires its own site induction.
Farms in the hill country north of the A 92 need the right attachment and stable footing
North of the motorway begins the Tertiary hill country with districts such as Oberglaim, Unterglaim or Kopfham. On farms, a fixed telehandler lifts bales, loads bulk material or brings material for repairs to barn roofs. Which job it takes on depends on the attachment. You can rent:
- Bucket for bulk material, soil and clearing yard areas
- Load hook for slinging loads, on the roto in crane mode
- Cable winch for precise lowering, for example into shafts or pits
- Lattice jib winch for greater hook height on the roto
- Work platform for persons at height
If work is to be done at height and nothing lifted, a telescopic boom lift is usually the better choice. You will find the models in the telescopic boom lifts category.
Slopes and farm tracks
A telehandler may only lift loads up to the inclination specified by the manufacturer. On a slope, place it on the most level spot, usually the farmyard, and work with outreach. Farm tracks and meadows carry considerably less after rain, so heavy roto models then stay on paved surfaces.
Transport of the telehandler from Passau to Ergolding: around 125 km
We deliver the telehandler from our location in Passau. From Passau it is around 125 km to Ergolding, via the A 3 and the A 92. We plan heavy roto and heavy-duty machines separately according to weight and dimensions, and the access then needs a turning area for the low-loader. We agree the delivery date with you, and early scheduling is recommended. Read more about the process under Transport.
Besides Ergolding, we also deliver to Landshut and the towns in the district such as Essenbach, Altdorf or Kumhausen. You will find all machines for the municipality on the page Construction machinery rental in Ergolding. Telehandlers in the region are also available for Dingolfing and Erding.
Anyone driving a telehandler in Ergolding needs training and written authorisation
Telehandlers may only be driven by persons who are at least 18 years old, suitable and trained, have proven their competence and have been authorised in writing by the employer. This is required by section 7 of DGUV Regulation 68. Training follows DGUV Principle 308-009: level 1 applies to fixed telehandlers, level 2a to crane mode with roto machines and level 2b to the work platform. Before use, you carry out a risk assessment under section 3 of the Industrial Safety Regulation (BetrSichV); instruction is required by section 12 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (ArbSchG) and section 12 BetrSichV.
We do not offer training ourselves. We put you in touch with a certified training provider and inform you free of charge and without obligation; more on the page training via certified partners. With every telehandler you receive a familiarisation on the machine.
