Telescopic Boom Lift Rental in Straubing – Matched to the Construction Phase

Telescopic Boom Lift Rental in Straubing – Matched to the Construction Phase

Telescopic boom lift rental in Straubing: our rental fleet comprises 26 models with 14.00 to 56.90 m working height and up to 27.43 m horizontal outreach. Straubing lies in the middle of the Gaeuboden on the Danube. Facades line the Gothic town square densely, and on the Danube bank lies the Straubing-Sand industrial park with its own port. On every construction site, the task changes with construction progress: in the shell phase, platform load counts; on the facade, outreach; in the hall, the drive type. That is why we organise the lifts on this page by construction phase. An overview of the city is offered on the page Construction machinery rental in Straubing; all machines are shown in the Telescopic boom lifts category. Delivery is by low-loader from our Passau site.

Telescopic Boom Lift Rental in Straubing: The Construction Phase Decides the Model

Selecting a telescopic boom lift by construction phase avoids the most common wrong order: a machine that reaches high enough but is too heavy for the ground or unsuitable for indoor use. The table assigns the 26 models to the four phases that regularly occur on construction sites in Straubing.

Construction phaseWhat mattersSuitable modelsWorking height

The boundaries between the phases are fluid. A lift from the facade row can also be used in the shell phase, provided its platform load is sufficient. The deciding factor is the task that takes up most of the rental period.

Shell and Building Envelope: Telescopic Boom Lifts in Straubing with High Platform Load

Steel construction and halls in the Straubing-Sand industrial park

When installing trapezoidal sheeting, purlins or facade cassettes, two fitters take their material with them in the platform. The seven models with 454 kg and the two JLG lifts with 450 kg platform load are suitable for this. In the Straubing-Sand industrial park with its large commercial areas, halls of this kind are mostly built on wide, open construction fields.

For high parapets and roof edges, the Genie SX-135XC with 43.15 m working height and 27.43 m outreach is sufficient. It weighs 21,526 kg and therefore needs a load-bearing set-up area. Somewhat more compact is the Genie S-85XC with 27.91 m working height and likewise 454 kg in the platform.

Construction fields on loess soil

The Gaeuboden consists of loess, which is up to six metres thick in places. When dry it bears well; after rain the surface becomes soft and slippery. On unpaved construction fields, you should therefore plan a site road or load-distributing panels before a lift weighing more than 17,000 kg rolls in. For interim work on areas not yet compacted, the Genie S-45XC with 7,394 kg is the more cautious choice.

Roof and Facade: Telescopic Boom Lifts in Straubing for the Old Town and Churches

Town square and Stadtturm

Straubing's town square is around 800 m long and lined with facades from the Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo and Classicist periods. Anyone working on cornices, gutters or windows there usually stands on the carriageway or pavement and has to reach over displays, umbrellas or canopies. The Manitou 220 TJ Plus achieves 17.79 m outreach at 21.74 m working height, the Manitou 260TJ 19.70 m at 25.91 m.

For set-up on public land, you need a special use permit from the city. For listed buildings, coordination with the monument protection authority is also required. At the Stadtturm, whose construction began in 1316, the choice of model depends on the working height actually required at the component.

St. Jakob's Basilica and other churches

St. Jakob's Basilica is the largest church in the city and dates from the Gothic period. On church naves of this size, height and distance count equally, because buttresses and annexes keep the lift at a distance. Eight models reach 34 m or more, including the Genie SX-150 with 48.33 m and the Genie SX-180 with 56.90 m working height. Both weigh over 22,000 kg, so the set-up position must be checked in advance.

Fit-Out and Hall Interiors: Telescopic Boom Lifts in Straubing with Electric or Hybrid Drive

Once the envelope is closed, the work moves inside: ventilation ducts, sprinkler pipes, hall lighting and crane runways. Here you need a drive without exhaust at the job site. Three electric models are available: the Zoomlion ZT18JE-Li with 20.60 m, the Zoomlion ZT21JE-Li with 22.95 m and the Zoomlion ZT26JE with 28.70 m working height. All three produce zero local emissions during operation.

Hybrid for switching between yard and hall

The Genie S-60 FE combines electric and combustion drive. This fits when a lift works on the outside wall in the morning and in the hall in the afternoon. At 8,051 kg, it is also light enough for many hall floors.

Hall floor, gate and charging options

Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive and logistics are among the industries that shape Straubing's economy. In their halls, three points decide: the load-bearing capacity of the floor, the width and height of the gate, and a power connection for recharging. Clarify these values with the building services team before ordering, so that the lift reaches its workplace without detours on the delivery day.

Operation and Maintenance: Telescopic Boom Lifts in Straubing for Inspections of Existing Buildings

Not every job is part of a new build. Cleaning gutters, replacing lights, inspecting facades or installing advertising signs are short jobs for which a light, manoeuvrable lift is sufficient.

Light models for short jobs

The Haulotte H14TX weighs 5,900 kg and reaches 14.00 m working height; the Genie S-45 achieves 15.72 m at 7,005 kg. On paving, courtyard entrances or car parks, they put considerably less load on the ground than the large machines. For a day in a side street of the old town, such a lift is often the more economical solution.

Port, storage facilities and riverbank areas

At the Straubing-Sand port, mainly agricultural products as well as food and luxury goods are handled; three port cranes serve the south and north quays. For inspections of tall facilities, first check the required working height and then the access; on the port premises, the operator's requirements apply.

Straubing was affected by the floods of 2002 and 2013; the damage remained limited thanks to the flood protection improved after 1988. Anyone working on protective structures or directly on the bank coordinates the set-up position with the responsible operator before the lift is set up there.

During maintenance work over the pavement or carriageway, the area under the platform remains hazardous, even if the work only takes an hour. Cordon it off and allow for falling objects such as tools or leaves from the gutter.

Transport of the Telescopic Boom Lift from Passau to Straubing

From Passau it is around 80 km via the A3 to Straubing. The lifts travel on the low-loader, which for the large models needs a sufficiently long access and a level unloading area. For planning, it helps us to know whether the truck can stop directly at the job site or whether the lift has to cover part of the way on its own wheels. The page Transport describes how delivery works.

We also supply the surrounding area: Plattling, Deggendorf, Landau an der Isar, Cham and Regensburg. For Deggendorf there is a separate page on Telescopic boom lifts in Deggendorf. We also serve municipalities without their own page, such as Bogen, Atting or Aiterhofen.

Obligations for Operators and Users of Telescopic Boom Lifts in Straubing

Operator qualification

Anyone controlling a telescopic boom lift must be trained in accordance with DGUV Grundsatz 308-008. The operator card or the IPAF PAL Card serves as proof. On handover, you receive a briefing on the specific machine; however, it does not turn an untrained person into an operator.

Instruction and risk assessment

The employer instructs employees in accordance with § 12 ArbSchG and § 12 BetrSichV. In the risk assessment under § 3 BetrSichV, the employer specifies how the lift is used safely: set-up position, barriers, wind limits and rescue from the platform. In plant halls and on port premises, the rules of the site owner also apply, for example permits for work on crane runways or installations. We will inform you about Training through certified partners without obligation and free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about renting telescopic boom lifts in Straubing

chevronDown

What working height do your telescopic boom lifts reach in Straubing?

Up to 56.90 m. The 26 models cover 14.00 to 56.90 m working height; the largest is the Genie SX-180. For facades on the Stadtplatz, platforms between 20 and 28 m are often sufficient; for churches and tall installations, eight models from 34 m are available. The required height results from the work location and the distance to the set-up position.

Are there emission-free telescopic boom lifts for halls in Straubing?

Yes. Three Zoomlion models with electric drive reach 20.60, 22.95 and 28.70 m working height and produce zero local emissions during operation. In addition, there is the Genie S-60 FE hybrid platform with 20.60 m. For halls in the industrial park or in the city centre, clarify floor load, door width and a charging option in advance.

Do I need a permit for a telescopic boom lift on Straubing's Stadtplatz?

Yes, as soon as the platform stands on public ground. In that case, a special use permit (Sondernutzungserlaubnis) from the city is required, which the client or the contractor applies for. On listed facades, you also coordinate the work with the heritage authority. Allow enough lead time for this before you set the delivery date.

How far is the transport of a telescopic boom lift from Passau to Straubing?

Around 80 km. The telescopic boom lift comes by low-loader via the A3 from our Passau location. For large models, the truck needs a sufficiently long and level unloading area at the site. We also deliver to surrounding towns such as Bogen, Atting or Aiterhofen on request.

What qualifications do telescopic boom lift operators need in Straubing?

Training in accordance with DGUV Grundsatz 308-008, proven for example by an operator card or IPAF PAL Card. The employer also provides instruction under § 12 ArbSchG and § 12 BetrSichV and carries out the risk assessment under § 3 BetrSichV. Luibl does not offer training itself, but provides free information about certified partners.
